Hi all!

Should the CDD shut down when it is connected through the Ignition switch? A customer tells me that he'd like such operation, but the unit stays on even though the yellow +12V wire is "switched". Is it possible that the CDD stays on just using the red memory wire?

Oh, and please, please tell me what the new CDD design is? :) I saw the pictures in a thread but couldn't figure out if it's going to be a new model or..

Thanks!

The new design is a new (replacement) plastic for the existing hardware. It's not in mass production yet though.

Yellow "+12V POWER" wire (with 15A fuse) is only wire to power CDD.
Try to check wiring...

No, it's impossible.

Well, I wouldn't say it's impossible, Gary! As you may remember, I had similar sympthoms with my CDD. The reason was a short circuit in the door wiring, which resulted in +12V to be at the channel 1 output. The head unit got powered through that line.

So, Eero, try checking your wiring. There may be power where it should not be.

You're right, Gary.. The customer checked the wiring and, in deed, had them crossed.. Now it works :)
