Просмотреть полную версию : Strange delay problem
I recently ran into an issue with the EQ. I was running a pink noise test and trying to adjust the frequency response flat. After I was done, I attempted to play normal music. Well, the music sounded horrible. It seems, for reasons I'm not aware of, the EQ set a strange delay between the channels so none of the audio was in sync between the tweeters and woofers and sub. It seemed quite random.
The strange delay gets disabled when I disable the EQ(set all bands to 0dB). As long as I leave the EQ flat and at zero, the HU plays correctly. Any time I adjust the EQ now, the delay happens.
Any idea why this happens?
Turning off and on the HU doesn't help either. Right now I am pretty much forced not to use the EQ.

The EQ indeed adds a delay, but the delay is identical for all the channels for which the EQ is enabled, so you should not notice it unless, may be, you enable the EQ for some channels and leave it flat at zero for others. I'm not sure if that's possible as I personally never tried to do anything like that.
I don't know but it's messed up now. All I know how to do is pick left and right individually, but both are maxed out at 0dB right now. Even if I EQ both, it's still all messed up.
Does the EQ add a LOT of delay because it is significant, kind of like a reverb effect?
Also, how does a person individually adjust EQ for each channel(1-6)? I've only been able to find L and R where you could EQ each individually. However, I have yet to see anything specific to each independent channel. I am using the 2-way/3-way mode so maybe the independent channel thing only works in 5.1 surround mode or something. I don't know.
I will have to fiddle with it more I guess.
Is there a way to reset the HU? Would this require disconnecting the battery or is there a certain button press or menu option that would reset the unit, if all else fails?

EQ adds a LOT of delay. It's a digital processing module and it takes time for it to process the sound.
Whether you have L/R EQ or 6-channel EQ depends on the selected sound system configuration. If you use "2 or 3 way crossover system", there is only L/R EQ. In other configs there appears 6-channel individual EQ.
